Mason and his Mama: Waukesha, Wisconsin; Mason was born 8.26.10 and has been lighting up our every waking moment since. He was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic life long, life shorting, fatal genetic disease, at just 3 weeks of age. It is an invisible disease that you can't see from the outside, but one that is clogging up mostly his digestive system (making it hard to digest and absorb nutrients) and respiratory system (making him fight for every breath), but also other organs. There is no cure as of yet, but we are hopeful for that to happen in his lifetime. CF is only one part of him. We have high hopes and dreams that he will become anything he sets his heart to.

Mason's Current Treatment & Medications

CF Gene Mutations: 3659delC & S1251N

Clinic: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin (Milwaukee)

Albuterol Inhaler 2puffs before each Vest treatment

4 Creon 6000 capsules before each meal/snack mixed with applesauce x4/day

Hypertonic Saline (nebulized) 1 vial in AM & PM

Omeprazole 5mg daily in AM 30 min before Breakfast
Pulmozyme (nebulized) 1vial in PM
The Vest 20 min in AM & PM

Vitamax vitamins 1 ml once a day

Extra's of oil, salt, butter, pediasure for extra calories/fat
