5 months?! really?!

5 months...wow, time really does fly. 5 months ago we were welcoming our little man into the world and wondering "now what?" I can't imagine our life without him. Makes me think what did we do with our time before him. Life just feels like it has such a greater purpose now. I still sit and think to myself "wow, we have a child...and we are responsible for all aspects of his life...hope we don't screw him up too badly!"

I feel like I should do a big write up as to what he is doing, but just did in the last few posts. SO here's the Cliff Notes: he is smiling, rolling over both ways, laughing, playing with his toes, always wanting to sit up or stand, and putting everything he can find into his mouth. He is such a happy baby with such a huge personality already. I can't wait to see what he does in the next month. Even though we were dealt a blow from early on and have a few more things to deal with in caring for Mason, he knows nothing different and continues to discover more and more about himself and the world around him.

he was more interested in playing than sitting for a picture...he should know better by now (just kidding) since we have taken over 2500 pictures since he was born...

lovin' on hurumph

Mason likes to stand now...he's actually got pretty good balance

He enjoys the "flying in the air" trick...just don't do it too close to meal time!

why so serious?

I was doing Mason's morning CPT (chest physiotherapy) and Mia really wanted to help...notice Mason grabbing some fur? He will do this when she comes to lay by us, even smacking her a few times in the face...and she just sits there!

I'm a big boy now in my highchair!

He does really well sitting in here. We get him in there just to give him his Prilosec and enzymes. Soon enough he'll be in there for some real food. CF clinic wants us to wait until he is 6 months old to start introducing "food".

Sometimes Mason even sits in the chair for a little bit after eating if he gets to squirmy. This way he is upright and entertained to help keep the good stuff in his tummy.

Mason was thrilled with the Packer's Win on Sunday. He was so excited, in fact, he spilled his drink all over himself.

Mr. Alligator is eying up those chubby cheeks.

Mason has finally figured out he can push himself up with his arms...finally!

Hanging out with Daddy

last night we decided to put the sippy cup to a test. He likes to hold onto the bottle and the sippy cup said for ages 4+ months, so we figured "why not". Of course it didn't go so well, but the handles and lid is interchangeable with his bottles, so for now we will just keep using the handles. baby steps...
